Jim Rice began his fused glass career in 2013 as an intern with CainFusions, a prominent fused glass studio formerly located in Lenexa, Kansas. In 2015 Jim opened his own studio, Jim Rice Fused Glass, in Shawnee, Kansas, relocating to Eureka Springs, Arkansas in 2018. His artwork and designs are recognized for their unique and whimsical interpretations of nature and everyday life! Much of Jim’s artwork is “retro” in style, drawing from the 50’s, 60’s and 70’s, with an emphasis on the music of those decades.
Raquel Debbie Franckx, an artist residing in Eureka Springs, Arkansas, finds inspiration in a life enriched by travel and a deep appreciation for the human experience. Born and raised in El Paso, Texas, a vibrant border city where cultures from Mexico, Texas, and New Mexico uniquely converge, she developed an early fascination with art’s ability to express the complexities of the human condition. Bold colors and the creative upcycling of magazines characterize Raquel’s art. Raquel is focused on repurposing materials in her art as an expression and a method of recycling and protecting our environment. Raquel’s art encourages viewers to reflect on the beauty and complexities of the human experience, prompting deeper introspection about themselves and the world around them.
Susan Idlet is a Fayetteville, Arkansas-based artist whose passion for art ignited at the tender age of six. Upon retirement in 2016, Idlet rediscovered the joy of art, dedicating herself to exploring the vibrant world of colored pencils. Idlet’s work is a celebration of vivid hues, often drawing inspiration from photographs and evocative words. With a playful spirit, she delights in capturing the unexpected and humorous aspects of the world around her. Beyond her artistic pursuits, Idlet serves as the board president of Fenix Arts/Gallery in Fayetteville. Her work has been showcased in numerous local exhibitions, including at the prestigious Walton Arts Center, and she was even featured in a video produced by the Crystal Bridges Museum. A seasoned creative professional with a background in marketing and graphic design, Idlet continues to freelance while immersing herself in the vibrant art scene of Northwest Arkansas.
