WCDH Presents Poetluck Featuring John Rankine

The Writers’ Colony at Dairy Hollow (WCDH) will present our June Poetluck at 515 Spring Street on Thursday, June 2oth, featuring award-winning multi-media artist, photojournalist, and writer John Rankin.

WCDH is proud to bring John Rankine to Poetluck for the first time. John Rankine is an award winning, multi-media artist who originally hails from Toronto, Canada and who has made Eureka Springs home with his husband Bill King for the past 28 years. Working in a variety of creative mediums, Rankine was the recipient of an Arkansas Individual Fellowship award for outstanding achievement in the arts in 2011 for his photography installation, “A Community At Peace.” He also received an Artist 360 grant for his photographic series, “Men With Earrings” in 2017.

John’s writing and photography have appeared in E-merge magazine, and he has been a frequent guest presenter at Homegrown Tales, a bi-monthly storytelling event, hosted by Zeek Taylor and Sandra Spotts, at Brews. Brews is a coffee/craft beer establishment he co-owns with King and where John has curated rotating art exhibitions every six weeks for the past ten years.

We are delighted to invite you to attend Poetluck, an open mic style poetry reading event at The Writers’ Colony at Dairy Hollow (WCDH). Poetluck provides a supportive and inclusive space for writers to share their work and connect with fellow literary enthusiasts in the community. We welcome writers of all genres and experience levels to join us and share their poems, stories, and essays with our audience. The evening starts with a potluck meal at 6:00 PM, bring a dish to share or not, there is always enough. The open mic style readings start at 6:30 PM.

“ John Rankine has been a catalyst in Eureka Springs for decades. He is a creative force in our town” stated Nancy Paddock WCDH WS Coordinator For more information and registration details, please visit the Writers’ Colony at Dairy Hollow website at www.writerscolony.org/events or call (479)253-7444.
