Finding through Creating the Poem Workshop

April 30 @ 10:30 am - 12:00 pm

The Writers’ Colony at Dairy Hollow (WCDH) will present FINDING THROUGH CREATING THE POEM, a workshop, taking place at 515 Spring Street on April 30th, 2024, and featuring Barbara Siegel Carlson and Annie Klier Newcomer. WCDH is proud to bring back long-time alumnae Barara Siegel Carlson and Annie Klier Newcomer to The Writers’ Colony at Dairy Hollow. FINDING THROUGH CREATING THE POEM In this workshop, we will investigate selected poems, and discuss what it is that “happens” in the poem to take us beyond ourselves toward a larger, deepened vision. There will be time to write and for those so inclined, to share.

Learn what “moves” the poem and makes it sing. And investigate how does the poem travel through its language and images to “move” us. We invite you to send us a poem in advance that “moves” you and to join us for this informative and generative workshop. The $25 fee for this workshop supports the WCDH scholarship fund.

“We are so happy to present these accomplished writers in an intimate workshop setting” Nancy Paddock WCDH WS Coordinator
